Lil Fren ("we", "us", "our") operates the website lilfren.app and the Lil Fren desktop companion application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what we collect and why.

2. What information we collect
On the website (lilfren.app)
We collect only the information you voluntarily provide:
- Email address — when you sign up to be notified at launch
- IP address — stored temporarily to prevent spam submissions
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts on this website.
In the Lil Fren App
The App is designed to run entirely on your local device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data through the App. All pet data (hunger, mood, name, etc.) is saved locally on your own machine and never sent to our servers.
3. How we use your information
Your email address is used solely for:
- Sending you a notification when Lil Fren launches on Steam
- Occasional major updates directly related to the launch (e.g. early access, release date)
We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties. We will never use it for unrelated marketing.
4. How we store your information
Email addresses are stored in a secure MySQL database hosted on Hostinger servers located in the European Union. Access is restricted to authorised personnel only.
We retain your email address until the App has launched and launch notifications have been sent, after which we will purge the list — unless you have opted in to ongoing communications.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data at any time
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@lilfren.app with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days.
6. Third-party services
The App will be distributed through Steam (Valve Corporation). When you purchase or download the App through Steam, Valve's own privacy policy applies to that transaction. We encourage you to review it at store.steampowered.com.
Google Fonts are loaded on this website. Google may collect usage data per their privacy policy.
7. Children's privacy
Our website and App are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their information, please contact us at hello@lilfren.app and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will notify subscribers by email.
